Helping Our Unemployed Patrons

In these difficult economic times we probably all know someone who has lost his or her job, had a family member lose a job or someone who is having trouble finding employment. Library usage has increased as patrons use reference librarians, free Internet usage and other tools to find employment.

Secretary of State and State Librarian Jesse White and the Illinois Department of Employment Security have supplied these two documents that contain valuable information on how patrons can file an online claim for unemployment benefits. Filing online will help patrons avoid long lines at local unemployment offices.
